Kangoo Nation is a grass roots fitness movement of people from all walks of life who own, use, love, and want to try Kangoo Jumps aka Kangoos. Based in NYC its for people who are tired and bored of treadmills, elliptical, and other tedious forms of cardio. It's for people who are injured and can't run outdoors because of the high impact. It's for people that want to have fun and actually smile while they are working out. It's for people that have plateaued and want to take their workouts to the next level. It's for people that want to run harder, faster, and longer without any pain to their knees, back, and other joints. It's for people with joint issues and people who never want to have any joint issues due to impact. Most importantly it's for any and every one that is not afraid to try something innovative, intense, fun, different, and new. Kangoo is the most fun of any cardio that you could ever do and the weight of the boot coupled with rebounding against gravity gives you an intense cellular workout that ultra sculpts your entire body especially your core and legs! From the beginner to the elite athlete, Kangoo is for all ages and fitness levels and there are many applications for using them.
Kangoo Nation is a community based organization that partners with health clubs and other businesses, and many classes, events, and runs are free if you are a Kangoo owner. If you don't have Kangoos and want to try them you are able to RSVP to Kangoonation@gmail.com to rent one of a limited amount of extra pairs that are brought to the events and for classes. Kangoo Nation is made up entirely of people who love Kangoos and are devoted to showing the world how amazing they are for your body and how great they make you feel! With each wear, walk, run, class, and event our cause is clear, we get together, we workout, we run, we dance, we play, and we jump, all in the name of fitness! KANGOO NATION holds FREE classes, runs, and events for people that own Kangoos and others may rent them. Email Kangoonation@gmail.com if you own, use, love, or want to try Kangoos in the NYC area and want to be notified of events. You can RSVP to rent a limited amount of extra shoes that are brought to the classes, runs, and events. You can also schedule a private Kangoo training session with me. Please go to the "Services" section of the website for more information. Make sure when you do try them you wear long thick socks. Like rollerblades sometimes your feet have to get used to them and they sometimes rub from all the rebounding. In 60 minutes you are rebounding well over 8,000 times.

Absolutely not! Kangoos are safe, stable, and balance themselves! The hardest part in fact is standing still which is great because it keeps you moving! In Kangoos your core is constantly engaged so you have to constantly stabilize and this gives your core an incredible workout when you are exercising. Kangoos are actually SAFER than rollerblades! They look very intimidating but once you strap a pair on it only takes 2 minutes to get use to how they feel and you are off with a smile! Just like riding a bike!
You can use Kangoos indoor or outdoor on virtually any surface (grass, trails, streets, sidewalks etc) except sand or ice. The harder the surface the better because the IPS (aka the spring) absorbs the impact and you want to always maximize the rebound. Always remember to step in the center of the boot when you are running or rebounding. The world is your playground in Kangoos as you go on "Extreme Runs" or regular runs outside in the streets.




There are 4 main models of KJ's. The KJ power shoe which is for kids, the KJ-XR3 which is the standard model for adults, the KJ-Armstrong which is the soft shoe version mainly for adults who are long distance runners and want a lighter weight shoe, and the KJ-Pro which is for heavier people and elite athletes. For most adults the Kangoo that I recommend you get is the KJ-XR3 (it also comes in Special Edition colors). If you are heavier (over 220 lbs) or an elite athlete I suggest going for the pros. The pros have heavier and thicker shells, are a harder workout, and give you almost twice the rebound as you would get in the XR3's.
