If you've always wished you could make like Inspector Gadget and go-go-Gadget springs, have we got news for you.

Crunch Gym, purveyors of "judgment-free fitness," just introduced a new class at their Union Square location (113 4th Avenue at 12th St.) guaranteed to be a hoppin' good time. In BOING with Kangoo, participants strap on a ridiculous pair ofKangoo Jumps, fitness shoes that look like what would happen if rollerblades and pogo sticks mated.

Instructor Mario Green, who sprung in from Chicago to bring the class to NYC, teaches simple choreography (really, how complicated can it get with 6-inch ellipses strapped to one's feet?). Once everyone has the steps down -- or can avoid falling on his face, at least -- Mario leads the class in a routine set to the high-energy pop music (a particular favorite: Lady Gaga).

Truth be told, the Kangoos are pretty easy to master, and once you have them on, you won't want to stand still; rather, you won't be able to, as the round sole makes it hard to balance in a stationary spot. And while they're pretty damn ugly, the springy soles make the workout virtually no impact on your joints.

Before you decide this one's not for you, consider: Cute girls on springs, you know, bounce. Just sayin'.
